How it works
Three steps, thirty seconds

Fill it to the line
Take the lid off and pour in ordinary tap water up to the line on the jar. Nothing else goes in.

Shake for 30 seconds
Screw the lid back on tightly, then shake. It's the loud bit, and children always want to do it themselves.

Open it and meet them
Pour the water away and your friend is waiting inside, plump, bouncy and cool from the water. Let it air-dry on a towel, not in the closed jar. Over the next few days it slowly turns into a crunchy little bean bag.

Some of the characters are rare and turn up far less often. Nobody gets to choose and nobody can peek, so swapping doubles with a sibling or a friend becomes half the game.

No, and that's the surprise. Each jar holds one character at random, and nobody can pick it for you, including us. If you buy several jars, you may get the same character twice. That's how blind boxes work, and it's why swapping is part of the fun.
At least 24 hours in the open air before it goes back in the jar or onto a shelf. It keeps changing after that, and over a few days it turns from plump and bouncy into a crunchy little bean bag. Don't close it in the jar while it's still damp.
Ages 5 and up, as printed on the pack. The reveal involves water, so it's best done over a sink or a tray with an adult nearby.
